                   Funeral Service to the site of the interment.

The Funeral for McFarland police officer Ryan Copeland will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church at 600 N. Randall Avenue in the City of Janesville. A short visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending promptly at 11:00 a.m.  North Randall Avenue from E. Milwaukee Street to E. Memorial Drive will be closed to through traffic from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., or until the end of the procession to Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

 

All law enforcement personnel or public attending the funeral are asked to enter from the intersections of E. Milwaukee Street/N. Randall Avenue or E. Memorial Drive/N. Randall Avenue.  Both entrances will be staffed with personnel who will direct attendees to their proper area of parking.  Participating Color Teams, Firing Team, K9 Teams, and Dane  County area agencies should announce their involvement to the check point staff so they can be parked in pre-planned locations.

The public is welcomed to view the funeral procession which will travel from First Lutheran Church to Mt. Olivet Cemetery by way of:  E. Memorial Drive west to N. Washington Street, and north on N. Washington Street to the entrance of Mt. Olivet.


***Honor Guard Color Team Response Update***

Color Teams will only be utilized on Tuesday, 12/1/15.  All Color Teams participating must arrive by 10:30AM at First Lutheran Church, 610 N. Randall Ave., Janesville.  Inform the traffic officers that you are a Color Team, and  you will be directed where to park.  Color Teams will be utilized at the end of the church service, when the casket is moved to the hearse, and then move ahead of the procession to Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1827 N. Washington St., Janesville.  Color Teams will participate in the brief committal service.  Departments sending Color Teams should contact Sgt.
