Law Enforcement Death Response - LEDR

At the onset of WHGA's initial organizational process, our board members recognized the need to partner with the Law Enforcement Death Response Team (LEDR). This partnership only seemed natural as both of our organizations have underlying missions to offer services to the families and agencies of fallen law enforcement.
Since our initial partnership several years ago, WHGA has become an integral component of the LEDR response plan that is predicated on the “one call does it all” concept. Please click here to learn more about the LEDR team and the services it offers.

Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial - WLEM

WHGA has partnered with the WLEM and has assisted it with arranging for honor guard personnel to perform ceremonious functions at their annual memorial service. The WLEM helps to memorialize the legacy of our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement who have died while in the line-of-duty. We encourage you to visit their site to learn more about their organization.

WI Department of Military Funeral Honors Program

The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs provides and coordinates appropriate final tribute to eligible Wisconsin Veterans through its Military Funeral Honors Program (MFHP). The MFHP can help arrange rifle volleys, the sounding of taps, and flag folding at the funeral services of eligible veterans. The Wisconsin Honor Guard Association is pleased to work with the MFHP to ensure law enforcement officers with military service receive appropriate recognition.
