of the Milwaukee Police Department


Funeral Arrangements


Visitation and Service

Visitation will be held from 0900 hours to 1300 hours on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Oak Creek Assembly of God, located at 7311 South 13th St., Oak Creek, Wisconsin 53154.
The funeral Service will occur at 1300 hours, with police honors to be conducted following the ceremony, outside of Oak Creek Assembly of God.

Processional Information

The procession will commence after police honors from Oak Creek Assembly of God to Krause Funeral Home, located at 21600 W. Capitol Dr.  Brookfield, WI 53005. 

All law enforcement units that wish to participate in the procession should proceed to 7261 S. 13th St, you will be given further instruction at that location. This will include any SWAT teams that wish to bring armored vehicles.


Obituary Information
​

Police Chief Alfonso Morales of the Milwaukee Police Department is saddened to announce the on-duty death of Officer Matthew Rittner, 35, who was killed in the line of duty on February 6, 2019, after being shot while conducting a search warrant. Officer Rittner served with MPD for 17 years and will be missed. He leaves behind a wife and a young child.
